Description/Job Summary
The Assistant Vice President - Vice President, Crop Insurance sells and services crop insurance policies while educating and providing value added services to the member and promotes Farm Credit Illinois to enhance marketplace awareness and member experience.
Responsibilities/Duties
Market Presence
Grow crop insurance portfolio by pursuing new business and building key relationships.
Engage in community events and professional groups to strengthen connections.
Growth and Prospecting
Identify and develop sales leads, leveraging referrals and market awareness.
Originate and renew crop insurance policies and present risk management options.
Portfolio Management
Oversee policy documentation and reporting.
Manage claims, guide members, and ensure policy retention through regular communication.
Crop Insurance Administration
Processinsurance documents efficiently using technology and management systems.
Collaborate with processing teams for accurate policy execution.
Continuous Education
Stay current on insurance products, regulations, and agricultural programs.
Maintain certifications and participate in ongoing training.
Required Skills

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, agriculture, or related field and AVP - no experience; VP - 3 years of experience in sales or an ag related field; Or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and skillset sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
Valid crop insurance licensed required within three months from time of hire. Must be willing and able to travel throughout the assigned territory
