Innovative feedyard in southern Black Hills of South Dakota currently searching for a Feed Mill Foreman for their integrated cattle feeding operation. This is a key leadership role coordinating the activities of mill operators and maintenance personnel, monitoring equipment performance, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and maintaining accurate production records.  Ideal candidate will possess the knowledge necessary to assist with the current upgrading of facilities while motivating and managing a team though change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and participate in daily cattle feeding operations
• Supervise, schedule, and train mill employees (feed truck drivers, maintenance, loaders, panel operators)
• Manage feed inventory and ensure proper bunk management
• Maintain and improve equipment in coordination with mill upgrades
• Ensure accurate feed records and ration distribution
• Promote and enforce strict safety protocols and practices
• Collaborate with other departments for seamless feedyard operations

• Capable of working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• Strong leadership skills with experience in feedlot or ag operations
• Ability to adapt and lead during a period of facility upgrades
• Attention to detail and a commitment to animal care and feed quality

• Comfortable working in all weather conditions
