This article highlights United Producers Inc opening its 2026 scholarship program, explaining eligibility, deadlines, application steps, and the organization’s commitment to supporting future agriculture students through early and accessible opportunities.

United Producers Inc, also known as UPI, begins its 2026 Scholarship Program with applications available starting December 1. UPI continues its early launch plan to help students prepare their applications on time and meet common scholarship deadlines. The program stays open until March 1, 2026, giving students several months to complete their submissions with care.

For the year 2026, UPI plans to award ten scholarships, each worth 1500 dollars. These scholarships support high school seniors who plan to attend college or a technical school after graduation. The program focuses on encouraging young people to build careers in agriculture and related fields.

UPI Vice President of Strategy, Communications and Member Services John Marihugh share the organization’s goal for the program. He said, “At UPI, we remain committed to investing in the next generation of agricultural leaders. We look forward to helping these students achieve their educational and career goals.” His message reflects UPI’s long-term support for young people who want to build strong futures in the agriculture sector.

Students who qualify must be members of UPI, or the children or grandchildren of UPI members. A UPI member is someone who markets at least one head of livestock per year, which is confirmed through UPI’s 2025 records. Students who are not members may still apply if they receive a nomination from a current UPI member and if they work for that member on their farm or agriculture operation. This allows more students involved in agriculture to take part in the field.

To apply, students must be high school graduates in 2026 with plans to attend college or a technical program. Each applicant must submit the official application and write an essay explaining their goals for college and their future career. Children and grandchildren of full-time UPI employees or members of the Board of Directors cannot apply for the scholarship.

UPI encourages all eligible students to apply before the March 1, 2026 deadline. The organization supports 30000 members across several states and provides livestock marketing services, risk management tools, and agriculture lending products. Students can learn more or apply through the official UPI website.
