Tim Eyrich joins Meristem as VP of Agronomy and Business Development, bringing strong expertise in crop science, farmer education, and biological inputs to support better farm productivity.

Tim Eyrich joins Meristem as Vice President of Agronomy and Business Development, bringing strong experience in crop science, product development, and farmer education. His role focuses on helping growers better understand and use biological crop inputs.

Eyrich highlighted the importance of product formulation and plant health. He explained that successful biological products must support both the plant and the microbes that help them grow.

"The science behind formulation of the products needs to set the plant up to be hospitable to the microbes. Meristem's patented Bio-Capsule delivery system provides the nutrients and enzymes to build the home -- the plant -- so the microbes have someplace to colonize and do what they're supposed to do," Eyrich said. "And then with the right formulations, one of the biggest challenges is transferring the knowledge to the growers so they understand how those formulations can benefit their farms."

He grew up in southeast Arizona, where cotton farming plays a major role. His early experience on farms led him to study agronomy and plant physiology at the University of Arizona. After college, he worked with early plant growth regulators, helping farmers understand their value through training and education.

Throughout his career, Eyrich built a strong balance between on-farm work and product development. He spent time consulting with farmers and also working on crop nutrition, biological inputs, and agronomy education. His focus remains on making complex science simple for growers to use in real farming conditions.

Eyrich also has experience with regulatory processes related to biological crop products. He has worked with many crops, including corn, soybeans, potatoes, fruits, forages, and small grains. This wide knowledge helps him support different farming systems.

Meristem leadership welcomes his expertise and believes his experience will help improve farmer success. His work supports the company’s goal of reducing costs and increasing productivity. By strengthening communication between science and farmers, Eyrich will play a key role in advancing modern agriculture.
