Dairy West and Dairy Farmers of Washington have taken a major step forward by announcing a new partnership. The boards from both organizations have agreed to join efforts to improve efficiency, create stronger impact, and deliver greater value to dairy farmers in the Western United States.
The partnership is based on a shared vision of unity and innovation. According to Chace Fullmer, Chairman of the Dairy West Board of Directors, “This decision reflects the long-term vision both organizations share for a stronger, more unified dairy landscape. By working together, we can maximize the effectiveness of every checkoff dollar and ensure producers are at the center of all we do.”
Both boards have promised to approach the partnership with respect for their histories while focusing on building a better future for dairy in the Intermountain West.
As part of this new direction, the Dairy West Board of Directors has also appointed Steve Seppi as the new Chief Executive Officer. Seppi has decades of experience in dairy promotion and Checkoff work. He previously served as Executive Director of Dairy Farmers of Washington, where he led changes that prioritized innovation, openness, and farmers’ needs.
Seppi said, “The Northwest is positioned to lead, with the people, innovation and vision to make it happen. I’m excited to build on that momentum and help shape a future for dairy defined by smart investments, strong partnerships and shared success.”
The boards believe that this leadership change, along with the new partnership, will mark a promising new chapter for the dairy sector. Together, they aim to support farmers more effectively, align efforts, and drive long-term success in the region.
