Sami Dridi, a poultry science professor and researcher at the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station, is the new second vice president of the Poultry Science Association (PSA) board of directors. This appointment was announced during PSA’s 114th Annual Meeting held July 14–17 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Dridi serves as a professor in avian endocrinology and molecular genetics at the University of Arkansas’s Poultry Science Department. He is also part of the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences and the Center of Excellence for Poultry Science. His research focuses on studying the molecular and cellular causes of heat stress and metabolic disorders in broilers.
Dridi was first elected to the PSA board in 2023 and continues to rise in leadership. His work supports the association’s mission to advance poultry science through research, education, and outreach.

PSA board members help lead strategic planning, manage financial decisions, coordinate international events, and support committee work. They ensure the association provides strong programs for the global poultry community.
At the 2023 PSA meeting, Dridi was recognized with the American Feed Industry Association Poultry Nutrition Research Award and the National Chicken Council Broiler Research Award.
