The National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) announced its 2026 industry award recipients, recognizing leaders who made a strong impact on agricultural marketing. The awards highlighted innovation, leadership, and dedication to advancing the agriculture industry.
"These leaders represent the innovation, strategic thinking and commitment that continue to move agriculture forward," said Jennifer Pickett, CEO of the National Agri-Marketing Association. "Brian, Tom and Emily are strengthening agribusiness and advancing the agri-marketing profession while inspiring the next generation of agricultural leaders."
Brian Knifong was named the 2026 Agribusiness Leader of the Year, one of the highest honors by NAMA. He led marketing and customer experience efforts at Nutrien Ag Solutions. He managed a large team and focused on building a supportive work culture. His leadership helped improve collaboration across sales, agronomy, and operations. He also led changes to improve efficiency and align marketing with real farmer needs. Earlier in his career, he helped to launch many products and supported strong business growth. He also mentored students and young leaders through various programs and organizations.
Tom Posta received the 2026 Marketer of the Year award. He worked at Bader Rutter for nearly 30 years and played a key role in guiding the company through industry changes. He focused on improving operations and adopting new tools like artificial intelligence. Under his leadership, the company expanded into new areas such as food and pet care. He also supported NAMA for many years and contributed to its leadership and development.
Emily Metz was named the 2026 Ag Association Leader of the Year. As President and CEO of the American Egg Board, she led major changes using data and modern marketing strategies. Her work helped increase industry returns and improve decision-making. She also guided the egg industry during challenges like avian influenza and introduced new programs to manage risks. Her efforts supported innovation and strengthened the industry’s future.
