Mindy Orschell continues her national leadership role by serving a second term on the American Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee, helping strengthen advocacy, education, and training programs that support women in agriculture.

Mindy Orschell, a member of the Indiana Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee, is reelected to serve a second term on the American Farm Bureau Federation Women’s Leadership Committee. Her reelection takes place during the 2026 AFBF National Convention in Anaheim, California. She represents the Midwest Region, which includes twelve states, including Indiana.

The Women’s Leadership Committee works to support women in agriculture by offering education, training, and leadership development programs. The goal of this program is to prepare women to become strong voices for modern agriculture. Through workshops, outreach programs, and learning sessions, women gain the skills needed to speak for farmers and rural communities.

Orschell lives in Brookville, Indiana, and serves as District 8 education and outreach coordinator for the Indiana Farm Bureau. In this role, she represents members in several counties, including Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Fayette, Franklin, Johnson, Rush, Shelby, and Union. Her work focuses on sharing farm knowledge, building local connections, and supporting Farm Bureau members.

Along with her husband Greg and their children, Orschell runs a family farm in Franklin County. Their operation grows corn, soybeans, and hay. They also manage a cow-calf operation and sell freezer beef to local customers. This farm experience helps her understand the needs of producers and rural families.

Her current term on the American Farm Bureau Federation Women’s Leadership Committee runs through January 2028. During this time, she continues to help shape national programs that support education, leadership, and advocacy for women in agriculture.

The American Farm Bureau Federation Women’s Leadership Program supports women who want to grow as leaders in farming, food production, and rural communities. The program provides tools and training that help women build confidence, speak on important farm topics, and connect with others across the country.

More information about Women’s Leadership programs and opportunities is available on the American Farm Bureau Federation website at https://www.fb.org/programs/womens-leadership-program/. The program remains an important resource for women who want to make a positive impact in agriculture and rural life.
