The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) welcomes Madison Sifford as its new communications coordinator. In this role, she supports the organization’s communication efforts and helps share the work of state departments of agriculture with a wider audience.
Sifford focuses on improving both digital and print communication. Her responsibilities include managing social media platforms, updating the organization’s website, and creating clear and engaging content. Her work helps increase public awareness of important agricultural issues and policies.
“I am driven to connect my enthusiasm for agriculture with my background in communications and marketing,” Sifford said. “NASDA is dedicated to addressing critical issues in agriculture policy, and I am thrilled for the opportunity to join the team and do my part in amplifying our message.”
Before joining NASDA, Sifford worked as a marketing manager at Culpeper Farmer’s Cooperative. In that role, she gains valuable experience in promoting agricultural services and connecting with farming communities. Her strong understanding of both marketing and agriculture makes her well prepared for her new position.
Sifford also graduated from Virginia Tech with a dual degree in communication and dairy science. This combination of education gives her both technical knowledge and communication skills, which are important for explaining complex agricultural topics in simple ways.
She has a lifelong connection to agriculture, which supports her passion for the industry. NASDA believes her fresh ideas and creative approach will strengthen its communication strategy and help reach more people.
Madison Sifford begins her new role on March 16, 2025. With her skills and experience, she is expected to play an important role in improving agricultural information that is shared and understood across the country.
