Media ArticleRob-See-Co announces important leadership changes that support long term growth and strong service to growers. These changes take effect January 1 2026 and reflect careful planning for the future of the independent seed company.
Jim Robinson is appointed Chief Executive Officer and succeeds company founder Rob Robinson. Robinson currently serves as Chief Technology Officer and holds several strategic leadership roles since the company launches in 2013. In his new role, he brings a strong focus on operations innovation and customer needs.
“Jim’s deep understanding of our business, his commitment to innovation, and his passion for serving growers make him the right leader for this next chapter,” said Rob Robinson. “His leadership will ensure that Rob-See-Co continues to grow while remaining true to the values that have guided us since day one.”
Jim Robinson earns a degree in Genetics from Iowa State University and a Ph D in Biomedical Science from the University of California San Diego. His background supports data driven decisions and innovation that benefit dealers and growers.
As part of the transition Rob Robinson moves to the Rob See Co Board of Directors. He remains closely involved with the company he founded and continues to support business growth partnerships and long-term strategy.
The company also announces the retirement of General Manager Calvin Treat at the end of 2025. Dr Treat concludes a distinguished 35-year career in the seed and trait industry. During his time at Rob See Co he strengthens product performance research efforts and field level support for dealers and growers across the country.
“We are deeply grateful for Calvin’s leadership and contributions,” said Jim Robinson. “He helped shape our product portfolio, strengthened our agronomic capabilities, elevated the performance farmers expect, and brought a data-driven decision-making process to Rob-See-Co. His mentorship and impact will continue long after his retirement.”
With this leadership team in place Rob See Co continues to serve growers and dealers with dedication of innovation and trusted relationships that define the company since its founding.
