Koppert has announced the appointment of Hans Peters as its new Chief Executive Officer effective May 1, 2026. The company says Peters brings strong international leadership experience and a deep understanding of business strategy, organizational development, and leadership management. His appointment marks an important step as Koppert continues focusing on global growth and sustainable agriculture solutions.
Before joining Koppert, Peters held senior leadership positions at several major companies, including Unilever, NS, and Eneco. Most recently, he served as CEO of Priva. Throughout his career, he has built experience in leading business transformation, strengthening operations, and developing high-performing leadership teams across international markets.
Peters has also developed a strong connection with the agriculture industry. He says the sector stands out because of its combination of innovation, entrepreneurship, and its important role in global food systems. His interest in agriculture aligns closely with Koppert’s mission to support sustainable farming and biological crop protection solutions worldwide.
Paul Koppert, interim CEO, welcomed Peters to the company and praised his leadership background. He said the company is pleased to welcome Peters and noted that he brings valuable experience and a fresh perspective while understanding the importance of the company’s heritage and long-term vision. He added that as Koppert enters its next phase of development with a stronger focus on execution and acceleration, Peters is well-positioned to lead the business forward alongside its global teams.
Hans Peters also shared his thoughts about joining the company. He said he is honoured to join Koppert at a pivotal time for the company. He noted that Koppert has built a strong foundation over more than 50 years through biological expertise and a commitment to supporting growers worldwide. He added that the company has significant opportunities to strengthen its competitive position while remaining focused on its mission of making agriculture pesticide-free.
Following a two-month transition period, Paul Koppert and Henri Oosthoek will return to their roles on the Supervisory Board. Beginning July 1, the Executive Board will consist of Hans Peters as Chief Executive Officer, Martin Koppert as Chief Business Officer, and Siger Spaans as Chief Financial Officer.
Koppert says the leadership transition supports the company’s plans to strengthen its global position, accelerate future growth, and continue building its strong foundation in sustainable agriculture.
