The Wisconsin FFA Foundation has awarded $22,900 in post-secondary scholarships to 28 FFA members statewide. These scholarships support students enrolled in universities or technical colleges who remain in good standing with the Wisconsin Association of FFA.
Among the awardees, Crystal Anhalt, Chance Austin, Josie Bailey, Ashton Brusveen, and Mallory Cepress were recognized for their academic achievements and dedication to agriculture.
Several students earned multiple scholarships, such as Amalia Draxler and Tyson Gehrke. Recipients represented a variety of FFA chapters, highlighting the state's wide participation in agricultural education.
In addition, the Wisconsin Rural Opportunities Foundation Inc. announced five recipients of its Premier Scholarship Awards Program, each receiving $3,000. This program supports students planning to return to rural Wisconsin to contribute to its long-term vitality.
Recipients include Rita Achenbach, Kylie Garner, Lydia Lobacz, Samuel Miller, and Matthew Winch, who plan to pursue degrees in veterinary science, agronomy, and animal science.
GreenStone Farm Credit Services also recognized students with financial support. Twenty-one high school seniors received $1,000 or $2,000 scholarships, while four college students were each awarded the $5,000 Dave Armstrong Scholarship.
Recipients came from both Wisconsin and Michigan, with students such as Blake Jauquet, Darek and David Trzebiatowski, and Jacob Rohm among those honored.
GreenStone emphasized criteria like community involvement, GPA, and commitment to ag-related careers. The Dave Armstrong Scholarship was presented to Abigail Guza, Jenna Gries, Laken DuRussel, and Lily Mendels for their exceptional contributions and career goals in agriculture, timber, and natural resources.
These scholarships play a vital role in supporting the next generation of agricultural leaders.
