Media ArticleRob-See-Co announces the appointment of Don Thrailkill as its new Field Research Lead. In this role, Don leads the company’s research programs, including strip trialing, replicated trials, and field testing at Future Farm sites.
Don brings valuable knowledge and years of seed industry experience. He began his career in the late 1990s at JC Robinson Seed Company in North Platte, Nebraska, working as an assistant corn breeder. He later moved into various positions with Syngenta, including Trialing and Station Manager in Seward, Corn Product Placement Scientist, and early-stage Corn Breeder for the western corn belt.
With this background, Don is expected to strengthen Rob-See-Co’s research tools and improve trial data that supports farmers’ seed decisions.

As Field Research Lead, Don will manage the company’s plot tool, lead SLA field trials, and support research that helps growers across the region get strong seed performance backed by data.
A native of Emerson, Nebraska, Don lives in Seward with his wife Deb. Together, they enjoy time with their four children and seven grandchildren. Outside of work, Don enjoys fishing, boating, gardening, and cheering for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Rob-See-Co looks forward to Don’s leadership in improving seed trial results and supporting farmers with reliable research. His addition to the team strengthens the company’s mission to serve growers with science-backed solutions.
