The Indiana Soybean Alliance (ISA) has ushered in new leadership, electing Denise Scarborough as its chair.
A seasoned farmer from La Crosse, Indiana, Scarborough is set to drive ISA's strategic initiatives focusing on market expansion, product innovation, and enhanced cultivation practices for 2025.
Taking over from Kevin Cox, a farmer from Brazil, Indiana, Scarborough, together with her husband, cultivates soybeans, corn, and wheat in LaPorte County.
Her multifaceted experience includes roles as a loan officer and involvement in a family excavation business. Scarborough's leadership is backed by her extensive service on the ISA board since 2017, including a recent position as vice chair.
Joining her in leadership roles are Joe Stoller of Bremen, Indiana, appointed as vice chair, and Allen Buchanan of Fowler, Indiana, who will serve as secretary.
Both bring a wealth of agricultural expertise and dedication to their new positions. Stoller, a full-time farmer and an alumnus of Colorado State University, has been a proactive member of ISA's Membership and Policy Committee.
Buchanan, a Purdue graduate, contributes his extensive knowledge in farm management.
Carey McKibben, re-elected as treasurer, and new chairs for ISA committees including Brian Warpup for the Membership & Policy Committee and Jenna Scott for the Sustainability and Value Creation Committee, indicate a strong continuation of leadership.
Their collective efforts will focus on driving ISA's mission to support Indiana farmers by promoting sustainable agricultural practices and expanding market opportunities.
The election of three new directors—David Hardin, Andrew McDaniel, and Philip Springstun—further enhances the board's capabilities.
These new members represent a broad range of agricultural expertise and are committed to advancing the interests of Indiana's soybean farmers.
