Seeds Canada announces the appointment of Dan Wright as its next chief executive officer. The organization shared the news on LinkedIn, confirming that he will begin his new role on January 19, 2026 after a national search. The move supports Seeds Canada’s focus on transformation and long-term growth.
 

Brent Collins, President of Seeds Canada, highlights Wright’s strong background by saying, “Dan is a high-integrity, visionary executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience across the Canadian seed sector and the broader North American agriculture industry.” His career reflects decades of work in modern agricultural innovation.
 

Wright’s professional journey includes senior positions at Monsanto and Bayer. Most recently, he served as head of North American Enogen and Canada Seed at Syngenta. He also brings important association experience, having spent seven years on the Canadian Seed Trade Association board, serving as its president from 2017 to 2018.
 

What stands out most to Seeds Canada’s leadership team is Wright’s character. Collins notes that his “authenticity, sector passion, and commitment to meaningful, member-focused work” make him an ideal leader during a period of industry change. His experience with both global companies and family-owned seed businesses allows him to understand a wide range of perspectives.
 

Wright shares his excitement for the role, stating, “It is an honor to join Seeds Canada as CEO.
