The American Angus Association has recently announced the promotion of Casey Jentz to Chief Operating Officer.
With over a decade of dedicated service as a regional manager across Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Wisconsin, Jentz brings a wealth of experience and a deep respect for the Angus breed to his new role.
Jentz’s history with the Association is notable, having directly assisted members in understanding programs, marketing their cattle, and addressing their inquiries through Angus Media services.
His new responsibilities will include guiding the strategic direction of multiple departments such as member and field services, communications, performance programs, commercial programs, and events and junior activities.
“The Angus breed is the heartbeat of the beef industry," Jentz stated. He emphasized the solid foundation laid by predecessors and his eagerness to build on this legacy to advance the breed as an industry leader.
Jentz's vision for the future is fueled by a blend of tradition and innovation, aiming to continue the growth and influence of the Angus community.
Jentz has been deeply ingrained in the community from a young age, serving as a National Junior Angus Association board member from 2004 to 2006.
His family is also passionately involved; his daughter Sydney is an active member of the NJAA, continuing the family’s legacy.
Before his extensive tenure with the Association, Jentz managed a farm in Wisconsin and oversaw a multi-state sales territory for an animal health company.
His comprehensive background in agricultural management and sales adds a robust dimension to his capabilities as COO.
Jentz will officially assume his new role on March 3 and will continue to support sales and breeders in his region during the transition period.
