The American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) is excited to announce a valuable addition to its team, Andi Harizi, who will take on the role of accountant starting November 4th.
Harizi’s appointment is set to enhance the financial management capabilities of AFIA, directly supporting the association along with its partner entities such as the Institute for Feed Education and Research (IFEEDER), the Food and Agriculture Export Alliance (FAEA), and the Global Feed LCA Institute (GFLI).
Andi Harizi brings a wealth of experience from his previous position in outsourced accounting, where he managed a comprehensive array of nonprofit accounting procedures.
His responsibilities included overseeing financial operations, managing accounts receivable and payable, ledger reconciliation, financial statement preparation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards specific to nonprofit organizations.
Collaborating closely with Andy Timmins, AFIA’s chief financial officer, Harizi is poised to contribute significantly to the financial health of AFIA and its affiliated organizations.
His expertise will be instrumental in streamlining financial processes and ensuring that the financial infrastructure supports the broader goals of these organizations.
Harizi’s educational background includes a bachelor's degree in finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, rooted in Fairfax, Va., which prepares him well for his new role in the agricultural industry’s financial sector.
His skill set and experience are expected to bring a new level of proficiency to AFIA’s finance operations, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to effective and efficient financial management.
The AFIA continues to strengthen its team, underscoring its dedication to supporting the agriculture industry through enhanced organizational capabilities and robust financial oversight.
