Alliance Resource Partners awards scholarships to eight students and teacher prizes to three educators, recognizing academic excellence, leadership, and community service among children of coal employees.

Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. (NASDAQ: ARLP) has announced the winners of its 2025 Alliance Coal Scholars Program. Eight graduating high school seniors, all children of Alliance Coal employees, receive scholarships to support their college or vocational school studies.
 

These awards celebrate each student’s academic success, leadership, and service to the community. “We proudly recognize the accomplishments of these scholars and take this opportunity to thank their parents and teachers who helped them succeed,” said Christi Henson, Manager, Human Resource Services. “Supporting these talented graduates as they pursue their future goals is a privilege we deeply value.”
 

Three students are awarded renewable scholarships of $2,000 each:
 

  • Joseph Capps, Union County High School, Kentucky
     
  • Raigen Clark, Narrows High School, Virginia
     
  • Julia Wright, Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, Kentucky
     

Five additional students each receive $1,000 scholarships: 
 

  • Keirsten Hedges, North High School, Indiana
     
  • Hyatt Kelley, Webster County High School, Kentucky
     
  • Canyon Neeley, Grayville CUSD#1, Illinois
     
  • Laurel Shipley, John Marshall High School, West Virginia
     
  • Emily Taylor, Union County High School, Kentucky
     

In addition, the top three scholars each nominated a teacher who played an important role in their success. These educators receive $500 through the Teacher Achievement Award:

  • Robert Bassett, Union County High School, Kentucky
     
  • Alleta Morrison, Narrows High School, Virginia
     
  • Elizabeth Pelphrey, Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, Kentucky
     

The entire selection process is managed by Scholarship America, a leading nonprofit scholarship administrator in the U.S.
 

This annual program not only helps fund education but also recognizes the impact of strong family and school support in shaping future leaders.
