The American Feed Industry Association added three professionals to improve policy education and communications services. Their roles support members of the animal food industry through stronger training advocacy and outreach efforts nationwide across the agriculture sector today.

The American Feed Industry Association announced the addition of three new staff members to support its growing work in policy, education and communications. The organization welcomed Alison Foster, Mary Gray Holdren and Margo Nagle into newly created and expanded roles that helped serve members of the U.S. animal food industry.

The association shared that these new positions were developed after reviewing the changing needs of its members. The goal was to improve advocacy, training, and communication support across the feed industry.

AFIA President and Chief Executive Officer Constance Cullman said, "Over the past year, the AFIA has strategically assessed our members' changing operating environment and, in response, identified new areas of excellence. These exciting new roles will elevate the AFIA's ability to better meet the needs of our members."

Alison Foster joined the organization as the manager of policy engagement. This new role focused on coordinating advocacy efforts and supporting the development of federal and state policy priorities. Foster brought experience in government relations, communications, and member services. She previously worked with national agriculture and education organizations and held academic degrees in international affairs and communications.

Mary Gray Holdren joined as the manager of education programs. This new role focused on building and delivering training programs for employees in the feed industry. She previously worked in feed mills and agribusiness operations, where she led compliance programs and employee training efforts. Holdren also held professional feed safety certifications and continued her graduate studies in agricultural leadership development.

Margo Nagle joined the communications team as a communications specialist. She supported digital content, outreach, and membership communication efforts. Nagle held academic training in economics and communications and gained experience through public sector internships. She also showed leadership through university student organizations and international programs.

AFIA shared that the addition of these professionals strengthened its ability to deliver education programs, support public policy work and expand communications with industry members. Their combined skills helped improve training tools, outreach campaigns, and advocacy coordination.

The association stated that it looked forward to the contributions of the new team members. Their roles supported AFIA’s mission to serve animal feed businesses and professionals across the United States by improving learning resources, policy guidance and communication services for the agriculture community.

Through these appointments, AFIA aimed to build stronger connections with members and better prepare the animal feed industry for future challenges and growth.
