Job Description: About the role

An Elders State Rural Products Specialist supports the implementation of the agreed National Rural Products strategy within the Elders Branch Network. Provides operational expertise, guidance and support to the branch network team to achieve their financial growth retail targets for the state, with a product focus on animal health and general products. This is a great opportunity to join a dedicated team, who is passionate about Elders and Australian agribusiness.

Responsibilities
• As a State Rural Products Sales Specialist - Animal Health and General Products, you will:
• Lead and drive growth in Rural Product sales by supporting increased sales activity from the Elders network - focusing on animal health and general products.
• Maintain and further develop key supply partner relationships with mutually beneficial outcomes
• Identify new market opportunities and create entry strategies
• Develop and facilitate tailored sales training and development for rural product employees across the State e.g. launch of new products
• Take an active role with the induction and development of Rural Products branch team members
• Play an active role in the marketing and promotion of Rural Products and represent Elders in campaigns, field days, client nights, community events and forums.
• Maximise return on capital in branches through effective management of aged inventory, stock turns, debtor management, margin management, procurement and supply chain terms, and supporting core ranging strategies

About You
• Extensive Rural Product management experience combined with a successful record in sales
• Committed to the provision of high-quality customer service;
• Experience providing mentoring and support to junior staff;
• Possess extensive knowledge of agriculture products, the region and our competitors;
• Qualification in an agricultural or related business discipline (desired).
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
