We are seeking a dynamic and experienced State Fertiliser Manager to lead the execution of the national bulk fertiliser strategy across South Australia and Victoria/Riverina. In this pivotal role, you will oversee procurement, pricing, inventory management, and supply chain coordination to ensure product availability, margin growth, and operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with branches, suppliers, and internal teams to align local execution with national objectives, driving category growth and supporting marketing initiatives. Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and execution of the national fertiliser category strategy and business plan.
Manage daily fertiliser demand and coordinate timely, accurate order placements across branches.
Execute the national supplier ranging strategy in alignment with preferred supplier agreements.
Monitor and optimise inventory levels and financial reporting related to fertiliser stock.
Provide guidance on local market pricing dynamics and support branches with competitive pricing strategies.
Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive category growth and operational improvements.
Lead and support branches with regulatory compliance, product knowledge, and marketing initiatives.
About you
Strong background in retail distribution, inventory management, and business planning with experience tracking KPIs.
Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative leadership approach.
Results-driven with strong commercial acumen, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities.
Highly organised with exceptional self-management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
Motivated to develop high-performing teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Commitment to safety, compliance, and environmental standards with a proactive attitude.
A valid driver's licence is essential to travel across branches and supplier sites.
Tertiary qualification in agriculture, business, or related discipline is preferred. Experience in sales or agricultural settings is highly regarded.
