About the role:

We are currently seeking a Safety, Health & Environment Training Advisor to join our People & Performance team in this newly created position on a permanent full-time basis, based in Adelaide.

As a Safety, Health & Environment Training Advisor , you will provide subject matter expert advice in the design and delivery of training programs that address the continuing development and safety training needs of the business. You will provide guidance and support on safety, health, and environmental training, regulations, laws, codes, and business requirements. Your expertise in instructional design and your ability to facilitate effective learning experiences will ensure our team is equipped with the skills to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

The Elders People & Performance team is a key enabler of the business strategic plan. We have a fantastic opportunity to join the L&D team to expand our Blended Learning offerings. Reporting to the L&D Manager you will use your passion for Safety Instructional Design & Facilitation to enhance training in a way that it becomes part of what we do at Elders, anywhere, at any time.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Safety, Health & Environment Training Advisor, you will:
  • Apply contemporary instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies to develop, implement, and deliver engaging SHE training programs for employees
  • Conduct SHE training needs analysis to identify and close skill gaps
  • Use learning systems and tools (e.g., Workday, Articulate Rise) to create and manage training content and track progress
  • Support SHE & People Business Partner's to facilitate training to a variety of audiences
  • Design & Co-ordinate pre & post work assessments, manage accreditations for inhouse programs


About you:

To be successful in the Learning & Development Advisor role, you will have:
  • Previous experience in a SHE Training or SHE Business Partner role within a large complex organisation
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment and Workplace Health & Safety (or relevant Tertiary qualifications)
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Workday, Articulate Rise and MS Office suite
  • Proven ability to facilitate and deliver training programs both in person and virtually
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels
  • Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills
