About the role:

Our Safety, Health & Environment Business Partners play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Safety, Health & Environment, State General Manager & Leadership teams and the broader network to promote and maintain a safe, compliant, and high-performing culture across 56 branches in QLD/ NT.

You will play a critical role in managing and mitigating risks and ensuring the continuous improvement of workplace health and safety practices through implementing industry leading safety initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to drive a strategic approach with audits, and reviews that safeguard our people and support the development of our safety-first culture.

Ideally, this role will be based out of Brisbane however may be based out of any locations across Queensland.

Responsibilities:

As a SHE Business Partner, you will:
  • Develop and execute risk management strategies to minimize hazards and build a safety-first culture
  • Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify safety hazards and develop mitigation strategies
  • Provide coaching, and training to key stakeholders across various locations, empowering leaders and teams to take ownership of safety at every level
  • Respond to incidents, delivering hands-on support and ensuring corrective actions are taken in a timely manner
  • Contribute to the development & implementation of key safety, health and environment initiatives and programs
  • Collaborate with our Injury Management Specialists to coordinate Return to Work plans


About you:

To succeed as a SHE Business Partner, you have:
  • Proven experience driving change in a safety or risk environment (agricultural industry advantageous)
  • Strong ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership
  • Demonstrated experience delivering safety training and uplifting operational safety competencies
  • Ability to conduct audits, risk assessments and site inspections
  • Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety with a current drivers license
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn new Safety Management Systems
