About the role :
We are looking for a Safety, Health & Environment Business Partner to join the supportive team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Reporting to the Head of Safety, Health & Environment the Safety, Health & Environment Business Partner plays a key role in supporting the State GM and leadership teams by offering expert guidance, coaching, and technical support. This role helps drive continuous improvement in business processes and workplace health and safety. The Business Partner will independently review risk management, internal controls, and related matters, overseeing the implementation of the Elders Safety Management System and supporting programs across designated business units.
Supporting our WA branch network, along with corporate teams at our Belmont Head Office, this role requires regular travel to deliver hands-on support and coaching. This may also include responding to incidents across the state when needed.
While the ideal location for this role is Belmont, Perth, we are open to considering other locations within WA, offering flexibility to accommodate the right candidate's needs.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Head of Safety, Health & Environment to plan and conduct an internal review of systems and procedures
Incorporate risks controls and other internal controls & reviews for both WHS and Environmental compliance
Develop and communicate the required safety policy and procedures
Provide expert advice, engage, influence, coach, and mentor key stakeholders and delivery partners to drive desired Safety, Health & Environment behaviours and performance outcomes
Lead and drive exceptional performance through fostering a high-performance and continuous improvement culture
In consultation and collaboration with key stakeholders across the organisation, lead the establishment, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the safety and environmental risk management framework
Assist and facilitate Safety, Health & Environment risk management, training, education, and in-field coaching to raise awareness of responsibilities and build capability in effectively implementing the requirements of the Safety, Health & Environment risk management framework
About you:
Relevant education in Safety, Health & Environment
Possess knowledge of, and be able to interpret relevant Safety, Health & Environment legislation, policies, and processes
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills including the ability to articulate complex concepts into simplified language
Have a strong bias for action with the ability to execute effectively
Be a people-cantered person who understands how change is delivered through effective engagement and relationship
Previous knowledge of chemical safety management (desirable)
