About the role

We are looking for a Retail Support Officer to join the growing team on a Permanent, full-time basis.

The Retail Support Officer provides day-to-day systems and operational support across the Elders retail network, overseeing inventory accuracy, freight reconciliation, pricing compliance, and D365 system oversight. This role also supports new team members, manages vendor stock adjustments, and works closely with branches to resolve financial and stock-related discrepancies.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor aged, excess and slow-moving inventory across branches, identifying and implementing actions aligned with policy.
  • Administer and review stock counts, journals, adjustments, and vendor-owned inventory in D365 within delegated authority.
  • Coordinate national stocktake processes, review variance reports, and follow up exceptions with branches.
  • Manage product codes (create/open/close), pricing updates, urgent order approvals, and daily D365 exception reviews to resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide purchasing guidance aligned with national range strategy and approved pricing decisions.
  • Oversee logistics and freight processes, including Chep pallet administration and quarterly freight reconciliations.
  • Monitor financial impacts including COGS, write-offs, pricing shifts, and ensure pricebook compliance across the network.
  • Support CAAPS accuracy through invoice processing assistance, variance investigation, and escalation of unresolved issues.
  • Deliver branch support and stakeholder service, including order review monitoring, inbox management, system guidance, and relationship building.


About you

To succeed at Elders, you:
  • Experience in agriculture or a related industry, with strong knowledge of agricultural products, seasonal cycles, and branch operations.
  • Background in sales, retail, or branch-based environments.
  • Strong customer focus, both internal and external, with commitment to supporting business objectives such as the Eight Point Plan.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven problem-solving ability, including analysing discrepancies and implementing practical solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) or similar ERP systems.
