About the Role
We are looking for a Payroll Officer to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis.
As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely payroll services to our diverse and geographically spread Elders workforce. You will also contribute to supporting employees by providing reliable and responsive payroll assistance. This role offers hybrid working (with occasional office attendance required).
Responsibilities
Assisting with preparing and processing end-to-end fortnightly payrolls
Assisting with the preparation, administration and remittance of all statutory requirements
Ensuring payroll practices are compliant and company policy, awards, employment agreements and legislation are applied correctly
Actioning requests and queries within agreed timelines
Maintaining electronic employee files and records
Building strong relationships
Creating, streamlining and driving efficiencies
About You
Experienced in processing large payrolls end-to-end
Able to demonstrate an established understanding of payroll and relevant legislation
Customer service focused
A confident communicator (via telephone, email, video conferencing) to engage effectively
Detail and action oriented
Task focussed and able to prioritise under pressure and meet strict deadlines
A strong problem-solver
Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite, with Intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel
Experience with Chris21 and Workday preferred
