About the role
We are looking for a National Biological and Specialty Manager to join our Rural Products leadership team in this exciting new, fast paced position on a permanent, full-time basis.
Reporting to the National Category Manager - Fertiliser, this role will oversee all aspects of sourcing and supply of our Biological and own brand specialty category. The successful candidate will drive value and benefits across the category, building supplier relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, and managing the core product range while collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure strategy adoption and effective communication throughout the Elders network.
Responsibilities
As a National Biological and Specialty Manager , you will enjoy a day including:
Implementing and managing a new supplier relationship framework in the biological space, conducting regular reviews to enhance value for Elders
Develop commercial relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders in the Biological product supply chain (including suppliers to clients)
Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and LTIs, providing detailed reports to management and suppliers
Work alongside the Elders network to enhance sales of the own brand specialty fertilisers and bio stimulant range
Lead the integration of new product lines and implementation of sales strategies in collaboration with the Elders Network
Motivate and lead sales activity in the specialty own brand and biological space
Ensure compliance with all Elders' people leadership processes and policies.
About you
To excel at Elders, you:
Extensive experience in agribusiness sales, operations, or marketing, with a solid understanding of agricultural supply chains.
Strong background in retail distribution, inventory management, and business planning, including KPI tracking.
Proficient in MS Office, with intermediate computer literacy skills.
Tertiary qualification in Agriculture or Business Management (desirable).
Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach to leadership and stakeholder management.
Committed to safety, with a proactive attitude towards compliance with quality and environmental standards.
Results-oriented, with strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.
Motivated to develop high-performing teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
