About the role

Manager - Accounts Payable

We are looking for a Manager - Accounts Payable to join the supportive team on a permanent full-time basis.

The Manager - Accounts Payable will lead the Accounts Payable team, ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of transactions. This role oversees both the indirect procurement and rural products Accounts Payable teams, while driving a culture of innovation, collaboration, and performance. The Manager will also actively contribute to managing relationships with key suppliers and ensuring adherence to financial regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team to meet or exceed functional business plan expectations, fostering a culture of growth and accountability.
• Hold monthly team meetings to share knowledge, discuss financials, safety, and opportunities for sales growth.
• Manage the performance and development of direct reports, addressing underperformance and providing guidance where needed.
• Oversee staffing needs, ensuring alignment with budget constraints.
• Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments, while maintaining key supplier relationships.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, and provide accurate month-end, quarterly, and annual reports.

About you

• Proven experience in managing and leading finance teams, particularly within Accounts Payable.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to oversee complex processes and deliver results consistently.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to manage team performance, resolve conflicts, and drive results.
• High proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or relevant experience in a managerial finance role.
• D365 experience is highly preferred. While not essential, this type of experience would be very valuable to the team.
