About the Elders Livestock Career Development Program:
Elders, Australia's most trusted agribusiness, is thrilled to launch the next intake of our National Livestock Career Development Program. This 18-month, rotational Program has been specifically designed by our livestock team to develop the skills of our next generation of livestock sales professionals and offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the country, working with our exceptional team. The program entails a rotation component where Trainees will spend 6 months in 3 different locations, typically within their home state. Successful candidates will commence their journey in either October 2025 of February 2026, and on completion of program, continue in a permanent livestock sales position.
This program is ideal for those who are interested in a career in Livestock sales (stock and station), this role entails building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving livestock sales, and identifying new business opportunities within the area. This role plays a critical role for their clients in the purchasing and sales process, from initial client engagement through to successful transactions and providing industry leading market insights. Working both in-branch and travelling the region, our Livestock Sales people assess and prepare livestock for market to obtain maximum value for clients.

Auction Exposure: Participate in livestock auctions and sales events, supporting the team with administrative tasks, customer inquiries, and logistics coordination. Gain firsthand experience in a fast-paced sales environment.
Networking and Collaboration: Expand your professional network, establish connections with industry professionals, farmers, and suppliers, and create lasting relationships within the agricultural community.
Mentorship and Support: Receive guidance and mentorship from our experienced livestock team throughout the program. Benefit from their wealth of knowledge and industry expertise as you progress in your career.
About you:
Experience with the livestock industry, whether through studies, internships/work experience, or personal involvement. 1-2 years experience working in any industry is also desirable.
Have a genuine passion for the livestock industry and desire to learn more.
Dedication to supporting clients and delivering exceptional livestock sales solutions.
Possess a strong work ethic, taking initiative, and going the extra mile to exceed expectations.
Have excellent communication and relationship building skills.
Be able thrive in different environments, embracing change and learning from new experiences.
Have the ability and be willing to be able to relocate throughout the duration of the program.
Be vaccinated for or be willing to be tested and/or vaccinated for Q-Fever
