About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our small, supportive and high performing Business Development team on a permanent, full-time basis. Candidates seeking 0.8 Part Time arrangements are also encouraged to apply.

This role will be integral to the achievement of Elders' growth strategy through managing acquisitions and driving greenfield growth opportunities, end-to-end, across the Elders group.

Working closely and collaboratively with the EGM Business Development, senior management, functional and technical specialists and internal and external stakeholders, this role is critical to the successful delivery of operational, financial and strategic goals for each opportunity and Elders. As such, candidates who can demonstrate a high calibre of financial and commercial acumen will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

As a Business Development Manager, you will:

Prepare financial models to determine valuation for target acquisitions
Prepare business cases to be presented to Executive Management and the Elders Board
Manage the due diligence and contract negotiation process with vendors and internal teams
Manage the integration of acquisitions into Elders
Perform post implementation reviews to measure against targets and determine improvement opportunities

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be a well-rounded professional with:

Strong financial and commercial acumen
Experience in stakeholder management and working with cross functional teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to distill complex data into practical information for all levels of the organisation
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver outcomes on time
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
