Job Description: We are looking for a Branch Assistant Store Manager to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Branch Assistant Store Manager supports the Branch Manager in the day-to-day leadership, performance, and operational management of an AIRR retail store. This role helps ensure exceptional customer service, drives sales and profitability, manages inventory and supply chain processes, and fosters a positive team culture aligned with AIRR's values and strategic goals. The Assistant Store Manager acts as a key support for both the store team and the local rural community, providing quality products, expert advice, and reliable service.
Responsibilities
As a branch leader you will enjoy a day including:
Deliver exceptional customer service while actively engaging with the local rural community.
Support sales growth through effective merchandising, promotions, and identifying new business opportunities.
Maintain strong knowledge of agricultural products and provide informed customer recommendations.
Ensure high standards of store presentation, visual merchandising, and brand compliance.
Assist with inventory management, stock control, seasonal planning, and coordination with suppliers.
Oversee safe handling of equipment, bulk goods, chemicals, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Support operational and financial tasks including budgeting, reporting, and maintaining safety and cleanliness.
Uphold company policies, legislative compliance, and accurate record-keeping.
Contribute to team leadership, staff support, and a strong safety-first culture.
About you
To excel at AIRR, you:
Experience in retail or agricultural store operations.
Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Solid knowledge of rural and agricultural products and services.
Proficiency with inventory systems, stock control processes, and point-of-sale technology.
Sound financial, operational, and organisational capabilities.
Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
Leadership skills with the ability to support and develop team members.
An unrestricted driver's licence
Forklift licence
Experience in rural retail or agribusiness (ideal).
Familiarity with AIRR systems and product range (ideal).
