With the evolution of the dairy industry, reproductive technology is becoming an increasingly important aspect of EastGen’s business. This role requires a highly energetic individual with exceptional communication and people skills and a background in agriculture and sales. We are currently seeking to add a Genetic Solutions Provider in the Temiskaming Region.

What you’ll do…

• Provide AI service in and around the New Liskeard area
• Using EastGen’s solutions approach to help producers reach their genetic and reproductive goals through the sale of genetics and farm products to established and potential clients
• Offer consulting service to breeders answering questions related to reproduction
• Maintain and develop a roster of future clients
• Effectively negotiate and close business within a sales territory
• Work with a team of technicians and support staff
• Periodically participate in industry events where you will help educate and challenge the industry
• Participate in staff development opportunities, and staff/client meetings

Who you are…

• A keen interest in dairy and beef industry, knowledge and experience in the agriculture industry
• Commitment to helping farmers achieve their goals and a passion for genetic improvement
• Breeding experience is an asset, but training will be provided
• Physical fitness with acute manual dexterity
• A valid ‘G’ Ontario driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to learn and use various technologies to support the sales function
• Motivated team player that is results oriented and has the ability to balance working independently with company objectives
• Great listener, negotiator, and advocate for the producers you serve
• Flexibility to work rotating schedules,?including weekends and holidays
• A diploma or degree in Agriculture or equivalent work experience in the AI/dairy industry or related field is preferred.

• Join our dynamic sales team! You’ll earn a base salary between $35,000-$50,000 with potential for additional commissions based on your sales performance.
