Job Description:

 

Our client, one of the world’s leading suppliers of plant growth regulators for the agricultural, greenhouse, ornamental, and landscape industries, is seeking a Territory Sales Representative for the Southwest US Territory.

 

The Territory Sales Representative will be responsible for driving the sales and marketing of both new and existing agricultural products, with a focus on maximizing profitability through strong relationship building with distributors, agricultural consultants, and key growers. This is a remote position with the candidate being located in California or Texas.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales and marketing efforts for agricultural products within the Southwest Territory.
  • Build and maintain relationships with distributors, agricultural consultants, and key growers.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to expand product presence and meet business objectives.
  • Manage territory accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving product-related issues.
  • Provide insights into market trends, opportunities for growth, and competitive positioning.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored distribution strategies and promotional campaigns.
  • Track sales performance and generate reports on business outcomes.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • BS or BA in Ag Science, Business, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the Ag Chem industry, with a minimum of 5 years in territory management.
  • Proven ability to drive sales and build strong relationships with key industry stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the agricultural industry, particularly plant growth regulators and ornamental crops.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time and obtain state-required licenses (e.g., California PCA).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
