Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Talent Coordinator to support high-volume recruitment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for full-cycle recruitment of hourly production roles and early-career talent, while also providing support on salaried hiring as needed.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring hiring targets are met, maintaining recruitment systems and data accuracy, and delivering a strong candidate experience throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Coordination
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for high-volume hourly roles, ensuring staffing levels align with operational needs
- Screen, assess, and shortlist candidates using an applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Conduct phone screens and coordinate interviews with hiring teams
- Maintain regular communication with candidates, addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive experience
- Complete reference checks and support offer stage coordination
Onboarding & Administration
- Coordinate onboarding activities, including scheduling orientations and preparing new hire documentation
- Partner with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
- Maintain accurate and organized candidate records within the ATS and internal tracking tools
- Track recruitment metrics and generate reports to support hiring decisions
Job Posting & Talent Pipeline Development
- Manage and update internal and external job postings across multiple platforms
- Support the recruitment of co-op or early-career talent, including coordination of related administrative processes
- Attend career fairs and networking events to build candidate pipelines
- Assist in developing talent pools for ongoing and future hiring needs
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with hiring managers to align on recruitment needs, timelines, and candidate feedback
- Coordinate scheduling for interviews, site visits, or plant tours where applicable
- Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders on recruitment progress
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support recruitment-related projects and process improvements
- Assist with workforce planning initiatives and tracking
- Provide backup support to the Talent Acquisition Lead when required
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field; HR designation considered an asset
- 2-5 years of experience in high-volume, in-house recruitment
- Experience supporting hiring within manufacturing, production, or similar environments is preferred
- Strong understanding of full-cycle recruitment processes and employment standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ATS platforms
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-service-oriented approach
- High level of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information
