Our client, a fast growing on-farm dairy processor in Hamilton is seeking a hands-on, mechanically inclined individual to support their Production Manager and help drive daily production efficiency and excellence. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in dairy processing and HTST pasteurization who’s ready to take on more responsibility and grow alongside the business. You’ll play a key role in the back-of-house operations, supporting all aspects of mixing, blending, pasteurization, sanitation, and equipment maintenance/troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day dairy processing operations including HTST pasteurization, mixing, blending, and temperature monitoring
  • Assist with scheduling, production planning, and quality control
  • Ensure all processes comply with food safety, sanitation, and HACCP protocols
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and process issues in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate production records and temperature logs
  • Collaborate closely with the Production Manager and across departments to ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant production
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and SOP development


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in dairy processing (HTST pasteurization experience required)
  • Post-secondary education in Food Science, Dairy Technology, or related field is an asset
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with processing equipment
  • Knowledge of dairy products such as milk, yogurt, butter, and cheese curds
  • Understanding of sanitation standards, food safety, and temperature control
  • Energetic, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
