Our client, a meat processor in Southwestern Ontario, is searching for a Producer Services Analyst. This analytical position is responsible for back-office support to their producer membership. This role will support the farmers and the company operations. The role will be responsible for analysis, process improvements, and payment issues to ensure we provide excellent customer service to producers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze data to recommend actions that will improve our forecasting, payments, health reporting, and hog weights.
- Respond to all queries from our farmers related to any non-hog related concerns such as payment, payment grids, producer quality reporting, forecasting, shipping share compliance and any other new initiatives.
- Complete daily weekly and monthly reporting
- Maintain and update the quality evaluation system to reflect the changing needs and requirements of the organization
- Launch any new initiatives to ensure reporting is available to the team, our farmers and is well communicated prior to launch
- Educate and work with producers and operations to ensure that significant issues are addressed
- Weekly analysis of data and performance to identify opportunities for operational improvement to the co-operative
- Provide producer performance and hog quality reporting that aligns to customers needs
- Provide backup to the team for absences
- Support the rollout of new initiatives
- Attend industry events where required
- Attend company required training
- Remain current with technical knowledge in areas of responsibility
- Attend regular 1:1 coaching/update sessions

- Demonstrated leadership capability with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Background in agriculture and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills / team orientation
- Post-secondary degree in business or related field
- Data analysis skills with the ability to creatively solve complex problems
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
