Our client is a leading provider of equipment and technology solutions for agricultural commodities. The organization operates as a global food-based infrastructure company. The Commercial Sales Manager plays a key role in developing and maintaining long-term, profitable customer relationships across targeted regions and end markets within the agricultural infrastructure space.
This role is focused on driving new business development, strengthening existing accounts, and supporting technical sales efforts related to grain handling and agricultural infrastructure systems.
Success in this position comes from consistent customer engagement, strong technical understanding of grain systems, and the ability to translate customer needs into engineered solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales revenue, EBITDA, and individual performance goals
- Drive new business development through networking, referrals, and cold calling
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations for contractors and end customers
- Gather customer requirements and support preparation of proposals, including drawings, specifications, and contract terms
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate estimating and solution development
- Partner with leadership to identify and maximize sales opportunities and market competitiveness
- Collect and share competitive intelligence with internal stakeholders
- Manage full sales cycle including opportunity tracking and CRM updates
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers across engineering, purchasing, quality, and operations
- Ensure sales and retention targets are met across assigned product lines and channels
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of successful sales or customer-facing experience, preferably in the agriculture industry
- Strong preference for grain handling industry experience
- Technical knowledge of grain storage, conveying, conditioning, and handling systems strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, solution-based sales cycles
- Strong business acumen and relationship-building skills

- Experience working with grain infrastructure, storage systems, or agricultural processing equipment
- Comfortable engaging with technical stakeholders (engineering, operations, procurement)
- Strong hunter mindset with ability to grow territory and expand accounts
- Able to balance field-based customer engagement with structured sales process management

- Remote-based within Kansas
- Up to 50% travel required
