Our client, a livestock nutrition manufacturer, is seeking an experienced and driven Poultry Technical & Business Manager to lead and support their team in achieving annual sales goals for their poultry product portfolio. This role involves developing and managing a team of Sales Representatives and Nutritionists and working with cross-functional teams to drive business performance and maximize revenue growth.
The Poultry Technical & Business Manager will report directly to the National Head of Sales and Marketing. This position is located in Ontario.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a critical member of the leadership team, collaborating with senior management
- Champion a cohesive sales approach across departments, promoting teamwork to optimize market reach and customer engagement
- Develop and implement strategic slaes plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets
- Analyze sales and product performance metrics, make adjustments to maximize revenue and efficiency
- Lead the sales team with a focus on technical training and coaching
- Develop annual budgets and KPIs aligned with business goals and conduct engaging team meetings to communicate strategy
- Organize educational sessions and production meetings to empower livestock producers with the latest industry knowledge and insights
- Manage credit risk and oversee collections
DESIRED PROFILE:
- MSc/ PhD in Animal Science/ Nutrition/ Bioscience or equivalent experience
- Highly driven and personally accountable
- Energized by teamwork and building relationships
- Problem solving skills
- Passion and knowledge of the monogastric / poultry industry
- Strong analytical skills with a desire to continually learn
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
