Our client, a leading player in the Equine industry, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team.
This role focuses on driving sales, building and maintaining relationships with high-end barn builders, premium barn equipment dealers, and equine facilities. You will work closely with key distributors and contractors to incorporate the company’s products into equine construction projects while identifying new business opportunities within the sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute sales strategies, marketing, pricing, and distribution plans for the equine market.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key distributors, contractors, and equine facilities.
- Target high-end equine construction projects and collaborate with architects, consultants, and contractors.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and growth opportunities.
- Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to major equine clients.
- Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities and report on progress towards financial targets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- 5+ years of sales experience in the equine or related industry, with a proven track record of meeting targets.
- Strong understanding of equine facilities, barn construction, and industry needs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
