Business Development Manager Equine Industry


REMOTE | US


Our client, a leading player in the equine industry, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join their team.


About the Role: This position is pivotal in driving sales growth and expanding market presence within the equine sector. You will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive plan to target high-end barn builders, premium barn equipment dealers, and luxury equine facilities. The role involves building strong relationships with high-end barn builders and contractors to integrate the company s products into their designs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies, marketing initiatives, pricing models, and distribution plans focused on the premium equine market.

  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with distributors, contractors, and equine facility managers.

  • Focus on luxury equine construction projects, working closely with architects, consultants, and contractors to specify company products.

  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging growth opportunities to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support to key clients.

  • Utilize CRM tools (Salesforce) to manage sales activities, track progress, and report on financial targets.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Agriculture, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the equine, agricultural, or related industry, with a strong record of achieving sales targets.

  • Deep understanding of equine facility requirements, barn construction, and premium equipment solutions.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time to stay connected with the market and potential clients.
