Our client, a leader in the bakery ingredients space is seeking a R&D Bakery Manager, in the Toronto area. You will play a crucial part in leading and developing a team of R&D professionals, while striving for creative success crafting extraordinary bakery products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise bakery product innovation, application, and sample compounding lab activities.
- Guide and inspire bakery technologists in product development endeavors.
- Lead department daily huddles, weekly 1:1s and our performance management process
- Spearhead the creation of new products, line extensions, and applications.
- Oversee the commercialization of products, from raw materials to upscale procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, chemical science or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product development in a related industry.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft products, familiarity with Microsoft CRM Dynamics and Business Central is an asset.
