Our client, a technology driven food and biofuel company, is looking to hire a Processing Facilities Manager - Corn to join their team in Cambria, Wisconsin. The Processing Facilities Manager role is responsible for managing the operation of a 26 million bushel Raw Corn Processing Facility.

The individual selected for this role will be cross-trained in multiple tasks to increase contributions to the broader organization, enhance production flexibility and readiness, while also providing job enrichment and growth opportunities to incumbents and team members.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads and directs the activities of facility personnel that receive, store and distribute grain to include hiring, training and developing the staff to meet the needs of the facility.
  • Manages the implementation and execution of safety, environmental and other regulatory programs within the assigned area/region to ensure safety working conditions for all associates and compliance with all federal, state and local requirements.
  • Develop, lead and administer an effective and proactive program to prevent environmental incidents and ensure compliance with all applicable Federal State, Local regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments receiving corn to ensure grain needs of all facilities are being met.
  • Administer an effective Inventory Control Program to maintain quality and quantity of inventory handled at the facility and ensure compliance with USDA Warehousing, FDA regulations.
  • Manages effectively operating costs for the area to achieve highest quality and lowest cost while maintaining effective facility operation and superior customer services.
  • Develops and executes capital plans and projects for maintenance and engineering requirements within assigned area to provide for reliable operation, efficiency improvements and achievement of strategic plans.
  • Leads the maintenance and reliability programs to operate safe, efficient, cost effective and reliable operations while using industry best practices while maintaining and improving asset health.
  • Focus on continuous improvement: People and Process.
  • Ensure routine and preventative maintenance is performed on all equipment to ensure maximum availability, operating efficiency and longevity.
  • Coordinate with grain merchandising to ensure positive customer relationships and effective planning to provide for timely and least cost movement of grain.


DESIRED PROFILE:

  • Bachelor degree in Agriculture Business, Agronomy, Grain Science or related degree preferred; HS Degree and 5+ yeas of related experience in lieu of degree may be acceptable.
  • 5+ years of related Grain experience.
  • 3+ years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Basic understanding of commodity markets.
  • Knowledge of standard software applications.
  • Knowledge of grain handling operations or equivalent manufacturing technologies; applicable safety and environmental programs and requirements; applicable inventory control programs and requirements.
  • Advanced computer competency required including typing, web browser, and Microsoft Office; ability to learn the company's maintenance management system.
  • Advanced critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently in order to communicate effectively with team members within and external to department.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
