Job Description:

Our client, a successful capital equipment dealer, is searching for a Branch Sales Manager in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.

 

The Branch Sales Manager will manage the sales activities for the branch including the implementation of objectives and sales processes. The position is responsible for sales metrics in addition to attracting, retaining, and coaching Territory Managers.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and coach sales professionals in the Yorkton branch along with direct responsibility for specified accounts as needed based on growth strategy.
  • Create and manage development plans for Territory Managers
  • Ensure sales metrics and goals are met for the region
  • Ensure a consistent sales process is followed
  • Provide input in the development of the whole goods marketing strategy
  • Work with Sales Management team to identify and execute best practices
  • Work with Service, Parts & Integrated Solutions departments to promote customer satisfaction
  • Manage sales budgets for the branch, in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives
  • May be involved in the development and implementation of incentive plans for sales team and customers
  • May assist with creating the Sales Department business plan with Territory Manager and Branch Manager
  • May oversee or assist with used and new inventory levels/metrics
  • Maintain attention to cost reduction and savings
  • Work to build and maintain a supportive and constructive internal relations, and effective and productive team dynamics
  • Ensure all safety regulations and requirements are followed by self and others
  • Participate in training programs as required for the development of skills and knowledge

 

DESIRED PROFILE:

  • Post-secondary education in Ag Business, Marketing or related field; Associates/Bachelors degree preferred. Equivalent education or experience may be considered
  • 3+ years sales experience, 1+ years sales management experience
  • Familiar with John Deere and competitive products would be advantageous
  • Managerial abilities including leading, coaching, developing and motivating others
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in individual or group settings
  • Ability to define and implement sales processes, use sales computer applications and tools as well as confidence in using computer applications, technology and tools
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Willing to travel and able to work flexible hours
