One of our top multi-location retail Cooperatives is looking for an experienced Location Manager to run a team of developed Sales Agronomists. This individual will be directing, managing, and coordinating the activities and operations of the coop. Our client is looking for an individual with at least 3 to 5 years of Agronomy experience.


The qualified candidate will perform complex administrative and professional work to direct, promote and coordinate the location operations, while optimizing the locations market share and net savings. The manager will be promoting and supporting the locations portfolio of agronomy products including, fertilizer, crop protection products, seed and services to improve the grower s production efficiency and profitability. This position will follow in suit with all Coops policies and procedures.

 

Job Description and Qualifications

  • Promote, sell, support, and implement agronomy involvements and services
  • Educate and recommend appropriate crop nutrients, crop protection products, seed, and service
  • Work with and support agronomy team in developing and implementing marketing plans and sales programs for producers
  • Manage and record inventory of all supply
  • Implement reporting and control method.
  • Practice and encourage all staff to have a safe and clean work place environment.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge and understanding of:

  • Management principles and practices
  • Principles and methods of program development, implementation, and promotion
  • Safety rules, procedures and practices

 

Ability to:

  • Maintain time, cost, and material records and prepares comprehensive report
  • Communicate well with others in both technical and non-technical terms
  • Quickly learn and use new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing information and/or technology
  • Works hours required of this position during peak season
