Job Description:


The Procurement Consultant is responsible for managing a wide range of procurement projects with Corteva internal clients (Tower leaders / Category Leaders & Buyers) and for delivering improvements in indirect categories. The work will be wide-ranging and include the provision of project management, strategic advice to tower leaders / Category leaders and be a consultant by bringing the industry best practices to the indirect side, by project management methodology and delivery of complex procurement projects, mainly in MRO, Capital, Site Services, R&D, IT and Professional Services. This role will also manage relevant aspects of Corteva’s procurement bidding activities and RFx processes. 

1. Delivering procurement consultancy to indirect towers during project delivery, including but not limited to development of business cases, procurement strategy and executing the project.

2. Develop sourcing strategies based on portfolio business requirements.

3. Develop supplier evaluation matrix criteria and conduct supplier assessments.

4. Delivering technical work associated with project delivery, including but not limited to development of service specifications, method statements, pricing schedules, evaluation of bids.

5. Supporting with the management of supplier relationship and negotiations.

6. Report writing and presentation of results and recommendations.

7. Developing bids for new projects and actively undertaking business development to further grow the procurement work stream.

8. Manage RFI, RFQ and RTP process for all procurement projects which are assigned.

9. Internal management and coordination of project teams to include:

a. Planning and assigning responsibilities for project staff.

b. Ensuring timely input is received from project team members.

c. Liaison with Project Sponsor and tower leads on strategic project issues.

10. Managing deadlines/deliverables - Project team and client communications including updates on project progress.

11. Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.

12. Regular project reporting including preparing dashboards and project progress summary.

13. Maintain supplier Industry knowledge and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and drive supplier improvement projects.

14. Support the collection of market intelligence data on global supplier’s landscape.

15. Work collaboratively with other sourcing colleagues to share best practices and procurement process improvements


1. Bachelor’s degree and MBA preferred with relevant discipline with practical background or experience relevant to the job description.

2. 6+ Years of experience in Strategic Sourcing and at least 3+ years of experience in Consulting Services Industry.
