Global HR Portal Lead

The Portal Lead has oversight for all aspects for ongoing maintenance of the HR portal including design, content network, information architecture, functionality and ongoing improvements, and is a global champion for the use of the HR portal.

This role leads the global content core team, manages the portal and document management system technical development staff (5), and is responsible for the execution of HR related projects and programs impacting portal, including solutioning and project management. 

This position is responsible for continual process improvements and implementation of standard, efficient, and effective processes and governance required to maintain the portal. The portal lead is accountable for supporting the triage and resolution of issues and providing guidance to the HR Service Center content teams to ensure content is accurately maintained in the content management system (CMS). 

In addition to the portal as the primary responsibility, the role also provides a digital competency anticipates and adopts innovative digital features and solutions. For example, investigates technologies to learn cutting-edge best practices and uses digital solutions to benefit the team, add value to the work being done and improve employee experience.

This position can be located in one of our 3 US Business Centers. Or, it also can be a virtual opportunity as well.

Responsibilities:

Project Management:  
  • Lead portal thread for various HR and non-HR projects.
  • Responsible for development and implementation of requirements and deliverables.
  • Responsible for planning, system testing, integration testing, cutover and hypercare activities.
  • Facilitates solutions to resolve issues, mitigate risks and escalates issues based on severity and impact.
  • Ensures corporate standards and legal requirements are defined, understood and met.
  • Liaison with IT infrastructure teams including Web Services, Azure, AD, EIS, IT security teams to ensure alignment on timelines and to understand and manage downstream impacts.
  • Leads resource planning efforts for technical, content and PM activities.
  • Ensures all stakeholders are kept up to date with project progress.
Portal Operations:  
  • Provides oversight for day-to-day operations to ensure ongoing maintenance of the HR portal and that content meets the needs of employees.
  • Oversight for all technical activities including managing off shore portal technical resources (development team).
  • Responsible for all technical documentation technical architecture/specs, functional design document, monthly deployment documents, etc.
  • Owns portal governance, standards and processes. Oversight for the portal information architecture / taxonomy, taking into account global and local implications.
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations on enhancements to portal functionality based on usability studies, user feedback/requests, best practices and usage statistics.
  • Owns and drives continuous improvement program; coordinates with global and regional content leads; and COEs on recommended enhancements and content improvements.
  • Oversight for onboarding and training of portal resources Functional Lead, Global / Regional Content Leads, HRSC content resources.
  • Provide support to portal CMS resources and content network resources.

Qualifications


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Technology or Business field OR equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of HR portal knowledge and technology experience.
  • Demonstrated experience using content management systems.
  • Experience with SharePoint technology.
  • Strong project management experience, analytical skills and issue triage and management skills.
  • Established global experience.
  • Strong HR functional expertise and operations acumen.
  • Digital solution expertise preferred.
  • Experience in managing / interacting with third party HR vendors.
  • Experience in successfully managing and implementing large scale HR global integrated solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and cross-functional teamwork skills.
  • Excellent communication, writing and facilitation skills.
  • Strong influencing and cross functional teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage and lead others.
