We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Global Population Development Lead to join our Research and Development facility at Arica, Chile.

The position will be responsible for overseeing all Population Development (DH and Recombination Nursery) production activities, including coordination and execution of field, greenhouse, and lab activities at the Arica Research Center.

At the site, the candidate will be responsible for:

* Develop a Population Development (PD) strategy, working closely and collaborating with the site leadership Team (LT), harmonizing production needs with station capacity and the skill set of the workforce.

* Executed production by leading a team of professionals, guiding, and supporting their performance and compliance.

* Check that data collection processes are effective, efficient and are standardized across processes and other GPD sites, ensuring collection of quality data.

* Track workload using appropriate tools to be able to control/predict deviations along the production process. Participate on creating apps and global reports within the TI/PD global group. Report production information and projected workload routinely.

* Regularly analyze production data to understand and control production variables, adjusting processes as needed in a cost-effective manner to meet delivery and budget goals. Take responsibility for budget control in TI/PD production.

* Evaluate and identify capital investment needs for the program with Site leadership and monitor execution.

* Act as the main point of contact for all Arica Population Development activities and requirements. Collaborate with the TI/PD Global Coordinator or breeders to strategize production coordination and engage with partners to optimize processes, leverage expertise, and oversee potential local testing and implementation of new technologies.

* Ensure Corteva Agriscience Management System (CAMS) and Environmental, Health, Safety and Security (EHS&S) policies are followed in all processes.

* Drive innovation and creativity within the Population development program, implementing strategies to improve production and processes.

* Knowledge of Doubled Haploid production processes

* Proficient in computer systems, software applications, and database management

* Effective Communication using both written and verbal skills.

* Fully bilingual (English-Spanish).

* Demonstrated leadership, and people management skills.
