What youll do Job Summary
Target field activities to key accounts to build relationships and drive sales of Hoegemeyer brand products. Develop and provide agronomic and product education and training to the field sales force that supports the sales and service of Hoegemeyer products. Work with the Hoegemeyer Product Manager and dealer force to plan and conduct Regional agronomy field trials that improve the product management and/or product positioning of Hoegemeyer seed products. Partner with Agronomists, District Sales Managers, Product Managers, and Sales Team Leads to create and deliver product information and service which improves the productivity and profitability of Hoegemeyer customers. Serve as primary agronomic resource to District Sales Managers to resolve difficult customer concerns.

What your responsibilities will be
  • Develop and provide agronomic and product education and training to the field sales force that supports the sales and service of Hoegemeyer brand products and associated technologies.
  • Work with Sales Team Leader to plan and conduct targeted Sales Area, agronomy field trials and demonstrations that provide information that will improve the management and/or positioning of Hoegemeyer products and services.
  • Partner with Sales Territory Leader, and additional District Sales Managers to create and deliver agronomic and product information which improves the productivity and profitability of Hoegemeyer customers.
  • Provide overall sales support to District Sales Managers.
  • Serve as primary agronomic resource to Team to resolve difficult customer concerns.
  • Provide in-field and structured classroom agronomic training for field sales employees.
  • Provide timely agronomic information to the field sales team to support the sales effort.
  • Provide in-field and structured classroom agronomic training for field sales employees.

  • Coach field sales employees on customer service call best practices.
  • Assist in resolving customer service calls involving product performance and/or agronomic issues when unable to be resolved by District Manager.
  • Prepare product performance summaries for use by area sales force and  Marketing team.
  • Provide agronomic content for technical and marketing communications for both internal and external audiences (Walking Your Fields, Field Facts and Crop Focus, web, mobile, etc).
  • Plan and execute on-farm agronomic research projects as appropriate. Analyze and interpret agronomy research results.
  • Provide written agronomy research articles that can be used to support product management, positioning, and field sales training.
  • Provide overall performance evaluations on commercial Hoegemeyer seed products.
  • Support product life cycle management in assigned area.

Qualifications


What you'll bring
  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in an agronomic field. Master's Degree in agronomy or equivalent is preferred.
  • At least 3 years Agronomy experience is preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of: 
  • Crop production/cultural practices.
  • Hoegemeyer offerings and competitive agronomy/product/service offerings; local Ag markets; value chain and production practices, and Hoegemeyer product offerings in relation to seed.
  • Selling & marketing tools and techniques.
  • Environmental, regulatory, and stewardship issues of Corteva and competitive products at the local/regional level.
  • Company policies and procedures.
Demonstrated skills in:
  • Public Speaking.
  • Teaching/training and presenting.
  • Working knowledge of field experimentation methods.
  • Understanding of yield monitors, mapping systems, and spatial data.
  • Observing, analyzing, summarizing, and communicating agronomic/product trial results and information.
  • Conflict resolution and handling objections.
  • Using computer hardware and software to generate reports, access, and communicate information and complete administrative duties
Demonstrated ability to:
  • Communicate and transfer knowledge both verbally and written.
  • Build/maintain strong relationships with customers, key industry/market influencers, Hoegemeyer internal partners and teammates.
