Job Description:

Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE)

Purpose: Ensure product supply and inventory is available to meet the business needs.

  • Be the centre of coordination between the commercial team, the regional supply and production planning functional teams, and the regional and global product supply locations in delivering product supply.
  • Works closely with the regional supply chain functions; global product supply locations and others in the CU supply chain team to ensure the business requirements are met with continued focus on optimising service level.
  • Represents CPSC in CU Demand Review and participates in other steps in CU IBP process. 
  • Manages the S&OE processes to manage supply/demand exceptions for the CU. This includes the weekly demand/supply exception process; reviewing and resolving short-term exceptions; and communicating any shortages or exceptions appropriately to cross functional partners.
  • Involved to develop supply options when unable to resolve exceptions, and participates in ensuring that action plans are developed and executed so that exceptions are resolved. 
  • Responsible for the procurement of finished product from external vendors and inter-company supply.
  • Coordinates the import of product into Australia and New Zealand, including working with the Customs broker, freight forwarder, warehouse teams and customer services.
  • Understands the shipment options, transit times and freight costs for imports and works with suppliers to implement the most effective options.
  • Understands the documentation required for timely clearance of imports, and liaises with customs broker and ensures documentation is managed effectively including order files, import documentation, supplier and material history.
  • Enables proper communication channels for feedback from Commercial team in order to identify and implement opportunities for improvement.

Distribution Requirements Planner (DRP):

Purpose: Effective deployment of products to the right place, at the right time to meet customer demands at minimum cost.

  • Leads the Deployment processes and strategies to balance and manage product requirements at warehouses in Australia and New Zealand, with a strong focus on continuous improvement across the deployment work processes.
  • Effective, pro-active, product deployment across ANZ to ensure supply sources will meet demand requirements.  Monitor and act on alerts and exception messages at warehouses.  Execute and monitor Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) from sourcing locations to warehouses.
  • Work cross functionally with supply planning, customer services and demand management to ensure accurate and timely ATP (Available to Promise).  Proactive and timely communication to Customer Services regarding any issues around product availability for Customer Orders.
  • Communicate the Deployment plan as a source of demand to the Supply Planners and Demand Manager.
  • Develop and produce reports as needed to communicate current and future projected product availability (e.g. inventory vs forecast/open orders/sales agreements).
  • Produce, communicate and improve Deployment process metrics.  Continuously identifies and resolves distribution issues using Root Cause Investigations.
  • Ensures accurate Material Master Data at warehouses.
  • Identify products that have impending shelf life expiry and take proactive corrective action to sell in time or request shelf life extension. Initiate and monitor shelf life extension requests, and movement/ sell requests.
  • Prepare Inventory Health Dashboard for S&OP.

Supply Chain Improvement

Purpose: Identify and lead improvement initiatives to deliver improved service, delivery, cost, inventory performance, lead-time and other key performance metrics that are priorities for the business.

  • Support the continuous improvement culture across the supply chain team with a strong focus on Lean principles.
  • As M&ISC Implement Project leader, lead assigned projects, ensuring that M&ISC best practices are leveraged throughout the project.
