Land Management and Building Maintenance Person

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of full time Ag production experience.
- Experience in dragging, seeding and cutting fields with farm equipment.
- See list of equipment you must have demonstrated experience on at the end of this job listing.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently but also work as part of a team, be trustworthy, organized and easy going
- Mechanically capable, with good math and record keeping skills
- Routine maintenance and general repair skills of farm equipment including irrigation equipment required (See equipment list at the end of this job listing)
- Experience with Heavy equipment operation a must and some minor repair skills on the equipment
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to equipment maintenance and operations
- Prefer experience with welding, mechanics, electrical, carpentry, “Jack of All Trades”
- High level of integrity and work ethic while maintaining a good “can do” attitude with strong communication skills
- Ability to analyze and identify opportunities to improve current land practices, building infrastructure and mechanical issues. Ability to troubleshoot problems and provide solutions
- Flexibility to work outside regular hours and respond to emergencies as needed
- Experience ordering and maintaining inventory of parts and researching associated costs
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are searching for an experienced Land Management and Building Maintenance person. The Land Management and Building Maintenance person will be responsible for:
- ensuring the efficient planting and harvesting of cover crops on a 300+ acre Wyoming family ranch
- maintaining and repairing all Agri equipment
- weed control
- oversee 5 acre Organic farm maintenance repair projects in ranch buildings
- maintain ranch appearance by mowing, maintaining roads, gates and fences, etc.
- anticipating needed supplies; land and buildings
- shop management; ensuring it is kept clean, organized and well equipped with necessary tools
- snow plowing
- placing and running the field irrigations systems
- various building maintenance repairs and inspections to make sure all Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing systems are working in all buildings
- Various other repairs, maintenance and odd tasks as needed on the property
Demonstrated experience in the following equipment (note this list is not a complete list of equipment )
- John Deere Tractor 4066R and 440R bucket
- John Deere Tractor attachments using IMatch hitches such as blowers
- Boxes, buckets, spreaders and sprayers
- Bobcat S185 with attachments, pallet lift, bucket and other attachments
- Kubota M135X and attachments such as snow blower, field tilling equipment,
- Hay cutting equipment etc using the quick attach system
- Power generators both mobile and stationary. Mostly Generac back up generators
- Snow blowers for paths and walkway
- Kifco rolling field irrigation systems
- Artic Cat ATV’s
- Lawn Mowers of various sizes from a Husqvarna 360 riding mower to various
- Push mowers
- Boss snow plows attached to a Dodge Ram and Chevy Silverado
- Building Infrastructure and Gates
- Various water filtration systems including a Ultra Violet filter system
- Various HVAC systems
- Familiar with basic plumbing for water and irrigation systems
- Gates
- Familiar with and understanding of the operations of Tilt a way Gates
- Familiar with and understanding of Liftmaster gate controllers
